Pam has lived all her life on the Romney Marsh and joined HOLG in 2020 as a fundraiser. Pam outlined the work of HOLG which supports children aged between 5 and 18 years old and their families across Kent before or after the death of someone close.

HOLG is a small charity which currently supports over 200 children and young people as well as over 100 parents. Pam explained that her role as a fundraiser has become increasingly important as the charity does not receive any state funding and relies on community and corporate donations as well as any grant funding that is available. The Club thanked Pam for her interesting and informative talk and acknowledged the importance of the work that HOLG and other similar charities carry out in providing valuable support for families at difficult times. For more information on the charity go to www.holg.org.uk or follow them via their Facebook page. The teddy bear shown in the photo is one of those given to each child that receives help from HOLG as part of their support weekend assistance programme dealing with the loss of a sibling.
